Abstract
L- arabinose residues are widely distributed in plant cell walls, where they are present in polymers such as arabinans, arabinoxylans, arabinogalactans and arabinogalactan proteins. L-arabinose suppress intestinal sucrase and decrease the adsorption of sugar in the small intestine, consequently, weight loss and fatness prevent.
