Abstract

In this paper we propose a configuration for an optically compensated bend (OCB) mode using circular polarizers with wide-band wide-viewing-angle (WBWA) quarter-wave plates (QWPs). Parameters of LC material and compensation films are optimized for wide viewing angle characteristics and excellent spectral properties of the OCB mode.
