Abstract

The luminance of at PDP has been controlled by the number of sustain pulses. Therefore, it is very difficult to control the luminance by sustain pulses for a given gray level. This paper deals with a new method to control the luminance by the sustain pulse amplitude in ac PDP. The suggested method can control the luminance by 60% without change of the number of sustain pulses.
