Abstract
Biphenyl dimethyl dicarboxylate (DDB) is a by-product produced in process of synthesizing Schizandrin-C. Generally, DDB has known to protect hepatocytes and to decrease the index of liver enzyme (e.g. GOT and GPT) in chronic hepatitis.
