Abstract

Line starting using contactors is a conventional method for escalator system Recently, comsumer's requirements for energy saving and variable functions are increasing To satisfy this demands, LG Industrial Systems Co., Ltd. has developed an escalator which is driven by inverter system. In this paper, technical schemes of the developed escalator are introduced and the performance of the proposed system is proved by experiment.
