Abstract

The nonuniform thermal sources of a squirrel cage induction motor are obtained from the losses calculated by the nonlinear complex finite element analysis considering skew effects. Then, temperature rises of the motor are calculated using thermal equivalent network analysis and compared with some experimental values.
