Abstract

In this paper the phase advance method is adopted for torque characteristics improvement of brushless D.C motor and the effect on motor characteristics is investigated. The optimal commutation position is calculated by computer simulation. This paper also implements a driver for brushless D.C motors using single-chip microprocessor, 8751.
