A study on the coupling of electromagnetic field to transmission lines

In this paper, the coupling of external electromagnetic fields to transmission lines is studied. The emphasis is on the practical solution of Problems involving the excitation of currents on the wires by natural and man-made sources of electromagnetic fields, First, this study develops the theory of excitation of a two-wire transmission line illuminated by electromagnetic field the coupling equations are solutions of differential equations which include the source terms due to the incident fields. And equations in this paper reduce to simple forms when the incident field is a plane wave.
